We were able to get away a couple of weeks ago and see family in Eugene which was really nice.
On the way back to Everett, we stopped in Seattle and stayed the night at the Holiday Inn (Priceline is great, the hotel was just OK) and went and had breakfast Seattle style, at Pike's Market.
The boys have an eye for donuts wherever we go, and they found this monstrous donut and we just had to get it! (All four of us had a bite :)
We then just walked around downtown Seattle and the waterfront and the rest of the world faded away for awhile.
I think it's good to get away from the normal day-in-day-out stuff anytime I can to get new perspective...otherwise, it's easy to feel a bit numb don't you think?
