There once was a boy named Ben
Who just wouldn't eat his peas
So the King gave him a crown
With jewels beyond his wildest dreams
But this just wouldn't do!
Who in the world likes peas?!
So the Queen gave him a throne
With the softest, cushiest seat
But this just wouldn't do!
Who in the world likes peas?!
So the prince's brother said,
"I like peas." Indeed!
So Prince Ben ate his peas
With great joy and delight
Each one burst in his mouth
Like a flash of light
So now the plate of peas
Is empty and licked clean
And if your "Prince" won't listen to you
Just ask his brother to say what you mean!

I love your poem- well said.
Right now the older one tells the younger one to eat, but I am sure it will be the other way around soon!

A great poem and what a clever way to get
a little guy to eat his peas.
